Dr. Angry and Mr. Smile

The neighbouring face images change between sharp and blurred. When they are sharp, the face on the left looks angry and male, the face on the right female and kind (no generic character attribution implied). With increasing blur the expressions change places.

Using a technique they described 1994, Philippe G. Schyns & Aude Oliva (1999) hid 2 faces in one hybrid image

here are a fwe links if you are interested in the "how it happens"> Michael’s Optical Illusions & Visual Phenomena

They also have their paper here.
Here are a few more images of the "hybrid image" technique.

Amazing i must say!

Humble Masterpieces

Humble Masterpieces

This exhibition in MoMa featured nearly 120 simple objects, from Post-It® notes to paper clips, Band-Aids to Bic pens. We use items like these every day, but chances are we will not pay them much attention. While modest in size and price, these objects are indispensable masterpieces of design, deserving of our admiration.

Oops ! why didn't i think of it???

You can buy these from here.
The complete list of the exibits, equally interesting, can be reached here.
